DO/AC and Me: A Review & Guide of Atlantic City & Tropicana Casino Hotel & Resort

Disclaimer: I received a complimentary "Atlantic City Experience Sampling" from Crowdtap. For me and one guest this included:

    Trip Itinerary
    Special Atlantic City Welcome Prize
Free One Night's Stay in an AC Casino
    Cocktail Hour
AC SWAG Bag which You'll Receive Upon Arrival

That being said, on to the review!

Transportation: The transportation to and from Atlantic City was NOT included, so I had to find my own way to get there. After much researching we settled on Academy Bus, the round trip was $38 and included a $25 voucher for free slot play courtesy of the Casino we were staying at which was Tropicana. You can buy bus tickets online here: http://www.academybus.com/Casinos/Casinos.aspx

The employees working here are down right rude but they get you from point A to point B sufficiently enough. In the future if had the option of choosing a different bus company with a better deal, I totally would.

Hotel: Tropicana Casino Resort - Atlantic City

We got the king sized bed suite. Smelled a bit funky but was overall roomy and clean. Bathroom was well stocked with towels for our one night stay. The one MAJOR CON I had with this room was the AC outlets, NONE were easily accessible, the one that I could find was hidden behind the curtain on the right side. My friend was able to find one hidden behind the night stand after she pulled it out a bit.

WI-FI and cell service was also pretty none existent in the entire facility except your room. You were not able to get cell service in the lobby and all the restaurants.

Employees were nice but a lot of them lacked training. I had an issue redeeming my $10 slot free play, turned out that I had to manually go to the COMP Machines and load that onto my card myself AFTER the employee at the lobby loaded it on for me. That's right, she added it onto my card and I still needed to go and further activate the $10 promo on another machine. After asking 5 people, one person finally knew enough to tell me what to do.

Lobby employees work hard but are sadly understaffed, each time I needed to speak to one the wait time varied from 15-30 minutes.

Atlantic City: There was plenty to do in the short time we stayed, I wish we had another night.
